About Us

Kusi was born from the bold vision of two Chilean women determined to build something special in a land far from home. Ubud, Bali, became the perfect place to bring their idea to life—a restaurant that merges the essence of South America with the rich culinary traditions flourishing in Asia.
While blending the vast cultures of Asia and South America into one concept might seem impossible, it’s precisely this complexity that drives us. Every culture, every region, brings its own unique flavors, making our journey at Kusi both challenging and exciting. Our passion has always been to elevate flavor, and that pursuit led us to dive deep into fermentation, experimenting with the delicate art of balancing umami-rich Asian techniques with the fresh, bold flavors of South America.
At Kusi, our food is neither distant nor elitist. It’s about complexity in taste, not in presentation. Our goal is simple: to offer our guests an unforgettable culinary experience that feels both approachable and deeply satisfying.
